The printing of ballots to be used in the approaching election that will be held in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) began on Monday.
In a report by RH 5 Val Gonzales, National Printing Office (NPO) Ballot Production Committee head Yasser Mangadang said the printing period is expected to last eight days—from June 22 to June 30.
Included in the items to be printed are the lists for election day computerized voters (EDCVL) and posted computerized voters (PCVL).
According to data previously released by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), there are around 2.5 million voters to participate in the BARMM elections.
This BARMM election is the first regular poll for the BARMM parliamentary, the winning candidates of which will replace those installed during the interim Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA).
Under the law enacted by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in March, the upcoming BARMM elections will be held on September 14.
