The Northeast Monsoon, or amihan, is affecting the country on Tuesday, January 27, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Based on its 4:00 a.m. bulletin, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the shear line.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, the Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

The rest of Luzon and the rest of the Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the Northeast Monsoon.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

The eastern section of the country will have moderate to strong winds moving northeast to north, with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong winds moving east to northeast, also with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Sun rise is at 6:25 AM and sun set will be at 5:53 PM.
