Social media personality Norman Mangusin, also known as Francis Leo Marcos, has been released from the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group’s District Southern Office (CIDG-DSOU) after posting bail in three cyber libel cases.
In the report of RH Edniel Parrosa, the CIDG confirmed that Mangusin posted P30,000 bail for each case on Wednesday, October 7, allowing him to secure his release from detention.
Mangusin was rearrested on October 5 after authorities served a warrant issued by the Parañaque Regional Trial Court Branch 294 in connection with three counts of cyber libel.
Following the posting of bail, Mangusin was released from CIDG-DSOU custody while the cases against him continue before the court.
The cyber libel charges stem from allegations involving statements or content attributed to Mangusin on social media. His posting of bail does not constitute a finding of guilt, and the cases remain pending before the court.
