Police in Tondo, Manila will begin enforcing a strict “no warning” policy starting August 3, targeting illegal obstructions, parking violations and other ordinance breaches, an official said.

Lt. Col. Ronald M. De Leon, chief of the Raxabago Police Station, said the move follows consultations with barangay officials during a “Barangay Ugnayan” held ahead of the implementation.

He said barangay chairpersons were given until August 1–2 to inform residents of the agreed measures and allow time to correct violations before strict enforcement begins.

De Leon cited numerous complaints received through the government’s 888 hotline, the Bilis-Kilos Action Center, and police social media pages as among the reasons for the crackdown.

“Bilang representative ng gobyerno at bilang hepe dito sa Tondo under Raxabago Police Station, kailangan natin mag-react o mag-comply doon sa mga complaint na para sa kaayusan kasi may mga violation talaga,” he said.

Under the policy, individuals involved in road obstructions will be charged, illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed, and vehicles blocking streets will be impounded.

De Leon said coordination with barangay officials will continue to ensure enforcement remains aligned with existing laws while taking community concerns into account.

The police official emphasized that discipline is key to achieving a safer and more orderly Tondo.

“Sa bagong Tondo tayo ay disiplinado, ito na ang simula natin. Sumunod sila,” he said.
