The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has clarified that there is no verified breach affecting the core infrastructure of the eGovPH platform, following reports of alleged unauthorized access incidents currently under review.
In a statement issued on March 20, the DICT said its National Computer Emergency Response Team (NCERT) and eGovPH Team immediately conducted a technical assessment upon receiving the reports.
The review covered system logs, access controls, network activity, and overall platform infrastructure.
Based on the findings, the agency confirmed that there is no evidence of a breach in the core system, nor any large-scale extraction of Know Your Customer (KYC) or personal data. It added that the reported incidents were isolated and linked to third-party components, with no impact on the main eGov PH platform.
The DICT also noted that there were no indicators of sustained unauthorized access or systemic compromise, stressing that online claims remain unverified and lack technical validation. The agency is working closely with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) as investigations continue.
To further strengthen cybersecurity, the DICT said it has intensified measures, including 24/7 monitoring, enhanced threat detection, proactive vulnerability testing, and stricter oversight of third-party systems.
