The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) said it has not received a notice of dissolution from the Palace amid talks of its termination.
In a report by RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort on Wednesday, this statement was in response to Senator Imee Marcos’ claim that she was informed the commission would be dismantled by February.
Senator Marcos said this follows the resignation of a second commissioner in December, leaving only Chairman Andres Reyes as the sole member of the independent probe body.
“We have not received any information or notice regarding this matter from Malacañan,” said ICI Executive Director Atty. Brian Hosaka, speaking to DZRH.
Former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Rogelio “Babes” Singson’s resignation took effect on December 15, while that of public accountant Rossana Fajardo was effective on December 31.
