The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) said they have yet to receive any official information regarding the reported arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.

In a message sent to DZRH News, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said he has not received any information confirming media reports that the ICC had already issued an arrest order against the senator.

“None yet to my information,” Remulla said in a text message to DZRH News.

DOJ spokesperson Polo Martinez also said that the department has ”no information,” regarding the reported warrant.

“No info on this yet,” Martinez said in a text message to DZRH News.

The statements came following reports that the Interpol had supposedly received a warrant of arrest against Dela Rosa in connection with the ICC investigation into the Duterte administration’s anti-drug campaign.

Despite the lack of official confirmation, Remulla said the DILG is already preparing contingency measures in case a warrant is issued against the senator.

“As of latest update, the DILG is preparing a 10k task force for the dragnet operations in case a warrant of arrest for Senator Bato is issued,” Remulla added.

“We are forming it (TF) [Task Force]. The unverified info just arrived this morning. It takes time to mobilize,“ he said in a seperate message to DZRH News.

The DILG chief also revealed that the senator is currently in the Davao Region.

Dela Rosa served as chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) during the administration of former President Rodrigo Duterte and was one of the key figures in the government’s war on drugs.

In November 2025, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla earlier claimed that the ICC had already issued a warrant of arrest against Dela Rosa.
