In an exclusive interview on Scenezone of DZRH TV, former “Tambalan” partners Nicole Hyala and DJ Chris Tsuper addressed the long-standing rumors about their relationship. The 90.7 Love Radio DJ duo humorously dismissed the suspicions and put an end to fans’ “shipping.”

One comment mentioned that the listener had grown up tuning in to the former “Tambalan” DJs and expected that, by adulthood, there would have been some development in their relationship — but there was none.

Nicole jokingly remarked, “We were the love team they failed to protect.”

They also recalled their emotional moments when they parted ways.

Chris shared that they were once inside the radio booth with the lights off, simply hugging each other. He added that if someone had walked past and seen them, they might have misunderstood the situation and assumed the two were being intimate.

Both clarified that they were just saying their goodbyes and becoming emotional after spending 20 years as “Tambalan” partners.

Chris, described by Nicole as nonchalant, stayed by her side and offered comforting words while she broke down in tears.

The “Tambalan” aired its final show on October 11, 2024, after Chris decided to pursue public service in Lucban, Quezon, and run for municipal councilor in the 2025 elections. Meanwhile, Nicole remains one of the top DJs in the FM radio industry.
