A newly-paved key section of Bukidnon–Davao (BuDa) Road will have motorists traveling through Palacapao, Quezon, Bukidnon enjoying smoother and faster journeys.
The project, which involved laying new asphalt on a previously rough stretch, aims to improve road safety and reduce travel time for both private vehicles and public transport, in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to enhance critical infrastructure.
By upgrading major roads, the government seeks to facilitate trade, encourage tourism, and strengthen connectivity between Bukidnon and the Davao Region, one of Mindanao’s major economic hubs.
In addition to smoother travel, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) highlighted that the newly-asphalted road will support the efficient movement of goods, particularly agricultural products from Bukidnon’s farms to markets in Davao and beyond. Improved road conditions are also expected to lower vehicle maintenance costs and reduce the risk of accidents caused by potholes and uneven surfaces.
This paving project is part of the DPWH’s broader program to modernize and maintain key highways across the Philippines. Authorities said ongoing road upgrades will continue in strategic areas to sustain economic growth, improve public safety, and provide motorists with more reliable and comfortable travel options.
