Tropical Depression Neneng weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) and exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the PAGASA said.
As of 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, the state weather bureau said that the center of the LPA was located at 480 km north of Itbayat, Batanes. It has a central pressure of 1004 hPa and is almost stationary.
No Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) are currently in effect.
The LPA will generally move northward towards the East China Sea.
“Due to favorable environmental condition, the possibility of redevelopment into a tropical depression within the coming days is not ruled out,” the PAGASA stated.
All rainfall advisories over NCR-PRSD were also terminated at 5:00 PM.
Meanwhile, as of 2:00 PM, PAGASA said that two more weather disturbances are being monitored. Tropical Storm Saudel is monitored outside PAR, while another LPA has formed inside the weather bureau’s Tropical Cyclone Information Domain (TCID).
