The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said this morning that four reported casualties in the Bicol Region and around six missing individuals in Eastern Visayas are currently under validation as Severe Tropical Storm #OpongPH continues to affect parts of the country.

NDRRMC added that residents in Metro Manila should brace for rains beginning later today until tomorrow due to the typhoon’s enhanced southwest monsoon.

The agency urged the public to remain alert and follow advisories from local government units and PAGASA, stressing the importance of preparedness as the weather system continues to bring rains and potential flooding in several regions.
