

The number of reported deaths linked to Typhoon Inday and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon has risen to 22, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday, July 14.
The NDRRMC also reported that 18 people remain missing, while nine others were injured due to the impact of the weather disturbances.
However, the agency clarified that validation and verification of the reported casualty figures are still ongoing.
The typhoon and habagat have affected around 170,000 families or 755,000 individuals, based on the latest NDRRMC assessment.
A total of 97 evacuation centers have been activated, sheltering around 5,000 families or 21,000 people.
About 1,000 houses were damaged, including 298 that were totally destroyed and 883 that sustained partial damage, according to NDRRMC.
Damage to infrastructure was estimated at P3.18 million, while losses in agriculture reached P12.50 million.
The government has provided P58.56 million worth of assistance to affected families, according to the disaster response agency.
