The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has readied its security preparations for the holiday period, announcing that more than 14,600 police personnel will be assigned across Metro Manila.
According to NCRPO Regional Director PMGen. Anthony Aberin, over 7,300 police officers and force multipliers will be stationed in churches, major roads, transport terminals, commercial complexes, and other crowded public areas where foot traffic is expected to surge.
To reinforce regular security operations, an additional 7,287 personnel will be assigned to routine law enforcement duties, including patrol operations, checkpoints, border control inspections, and rapid police response.
The NCRPO said the massive deployment aims to deter criminal activity, respond promptly to emergencies, and provide assistance to the public whenever needed.
The police also reminded the public to remain vigilant, secure personal belongings, and exercise caution in congested areas such as transport terminals.
“Your police force is committed to keeping every family safe as they travel, shop, and attend holiday activities. We are ready to provide protection and immediate response wherever needed,” the NCRPO said in an online statement.
“Sa sama-samang pag-iingat at pagtutulungan, masisiguro natin ang isang ligtas, maayos, at mapayapang pagdiriwang ngayong Kapaskuhan,” the statement added.
