NCRPO: Police 'fully prepared' for INC rally, other demonstrations
by Luwela Amor14 November 2025

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Friday has assured the public that it is "fully prepared" for the large-scale rally of the Iglesia ni Cristo on November 16 to 18 at the Quirino Grandstand, as well as other demonstrations expected across Metro Manila.

In an exclusive interview on DZRH's Dos Por Dos, NCRPO Chief PMGen. Anthony Aberin said the Philippine National Police (PNP) is taking proactive measures to anticipate all possible scenarios.

Aberin emphasized that contingency planning is underway for any potential threats or groups that may try to exploit the event.

According to Aberin, coordination remains strong with the INC leadership, but the police remain cautious about other groups that may take advantage of the situation.

He added that several other groups have applied for rally permits in different key areas of Metro Manila.

Aberin noted that INC demonstrations are generally orderly.

Earlier, INC Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo clarified the purpose of the event:

Aberin welcomed the clarity of the INC’s intentions.

However, he stressed that the police are more concerned about external groups who may exploit the event.

The NCRPO considers Mendiola the most critical area.

Authorities are preparing for the possibility that groups from Liwasang Bonifacio may march toward Mendiola.

He added that the identities of such groups are still being validated.
