The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said that it is “all systems go” for the annual Traslacion, for the celebration of the Feast of Jesus Nazareno, on Friday, January 9, from the Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church.

According to a report on dzRH's Rapido Hataw Balita by Jecelle Ricafort, a formal send-off ceremony for security and safety forces was held at the Quirino Grandstand to ensure a peaceful and orderly procession.

The activity highlighted the readiness and coordination of the personnel who will be tasked with maintaining peace and safety during one of the country’s largest religious gatherings.

The ceremony was led by Fr. Ramon Jade Licuanan, who blessed the police personnel, service vehicles, and other operational resources to be used during the Traslacion.

Meanwhile, NCRPO Director Police Major General Anthony Aberin said that all units are fully deployed, prepared, and mission-ready for the event, which is expected to draw millions of devotees from different parts of the country.

He assured the public that authorities are prepared to respond swiftly to any untoward incidents or emergencies while prioritizing the safety and security of devotees throughout the procession.

According to the NCRPO, the send-off, also attended by local officials, aimed to emphasize proper coordination, discipline, and preparedness among all deployed forces to maintain public order, safety, and peace during the entire religious feast.

Officials said these activities demonstrate the strong collaboration between local government units and various government agencies to ensure a safe and orderly Traslacion.

Earlier, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced that around 18,000 personnel will be deployed to secure the Traslacion.
