Minimum wage earners in the National Capital Region (NCR) will receive a ₱60 daily wage increase starting Sept. 26, 2026, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said Friday.

The increase follows the publication of Wage Order No. NCR-28 by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-NCR.

The order raises the minimum daily wage for non-agricultural workers in Metro Manila from ₱695 to ₱755. Agricultural workers will also receive a ₱60 daily wage increase.

DOLE said the wage order was issued following the established tripartite wage-setting process involving representatives from labor, employers and government.

The department reminded employers to comply with the new wage rates once the order takes effect and said it will monitor its implementation.

The latest wage hike comes as an earlier proposed ₱85 increase under Wage Order No. NCR-27 remains suspended due to a court injunction.

The Pasig Regional Trial Court earlier issued a Temporary Restraining Order and later a Writ of Preliminary Injunction following petitions filed by business groups against the implementation of the previous wage order.
