The No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) will be reinstated in several cities in Metro Manila starting Oct. 5, 2026, officials said.

The policy will be implemented under the Metro Manila Traffic Code of 2023, which seeks to establish a more uniform framework for traffic enforcement across the metropolis.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said the expanded implementation of NCAP aims to promote road safety and discipline while making traffic violation procedures more consistent.

“Simula October 5, 2026 muling ipapatupad ang No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP), para makatulong sa pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan at disiplina sa kalsada,” Moreno said.

Under the policy, motorists will be able to check traffic violation alerts online and file protests online.

Fines will also be standardized among cities covered by the NCAP under the Metro Manila Traffic Code of 2023.

Local government payment channels will likewise be available online to make it easier for motorists to settle their fines.
