The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Philippines and Cignal TV formally inked their broadcast partnership on July 15, aiming to widen nationwide coverage of collegiate sports beginning Season 102 through Season 103.
The agreement was signed at the PLDT Revenue Center Building in Makati City, with officials from both organizations present to mark the continuation of a long-standing collaboration to bring NCAA competitions to a broader audience.
Under the deal, Cignal will air key events including seniors basketball, women’s volleyball and the cheerleading competition, providing increased visibility for student-athletes across the league’s member schools.
League and network representatives said the partnership is intended to promote excellence in sports, reinforce values of sportsmanship and help develop the next generation of Filipino athletes through greater media exposure.
The renewal comes after the NCAA reportedly narrowed its search for a broadcast partner to two finalists—Cignal TV and the Bilyonaryo-Abante Group—before finalizing the agreement.
San Beda University is set to host the upcoming NCAA season after their championship run in the last season.
Officials said the expanded coverage is expected to bring more games into Filipino homes nationwide, strengthening support for collegiate athletics and sustaining fan engagement in one of the country’s oldest amateur leagues.
