The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has warned relatives and associates who may be harboring gaming tycoon Charlie “Atong” Ang, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

In a report of RH Jecelle Ricafort, Atty. Palmer Mallari stressed that hiding a wanted person is illegal and confirmed that Ang’s immediate family remains in the Philippines.

Deputy Director for Operations Jose Justo S. Yap added that the NBI has no reliable information on Ang’s current whereabouts, including whether he has left the country, and that their manhunt operations continue.

The NBI also declined to comment on whether any current or former security personnel of Ang have approached the agency for assistance. Ang is the sole fugitive among 18 accused in the high-profile missing sabungeros case, with a ₱10 million bounty on his head.
