The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has issued a subpoena against actress Rhian Ramos, beauty queens Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio, over complaints related to illegal detention and torture.
On Thursday, February 26, Ramos and Dee’s lawyer, Atty. Maggie Garduque stated that the actresses are willing to cooperate with authorities on the investigation so that the truth may come out, RH Jecelle Ricafort reported.
“‘Yan naman po ang nakalagay sa subpoena, [na] magbigay ng paglilinaw ‘yung ating mga kliyente na isinubpoena with regard nga po dito sa akusasyon na pambubugbog, Anti-Torture Law, at tsaka nga po sa alleged illegal detention,” she explained.
Their camp will also review the evidence and submit a counter-affidavit. However, Garduque clarified that Ramos and Dee will not appear before the NBI tomorrow, February 27, adding that their legal team will instead.
Garduque also confirmed that alias Totoy, Ramos’ driver, has received a subpoena from the Makati Prosecutor’s Office to respond to the qualified theft case filed against him.
The said complaint stemmed from the allegation that Totoy stole an angpao from Dee, which reportedly contained sensitive photos.
