The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has identified 10 persons and entities of interest in connection with the seizure of P512 kilograms of suspected shabu in Laos that was allegedly intended for shipment to the Philippines.

The NBI vowed to track down all individuals responsible for or involved in the alleged attempt to smuggle illegal drugs into the country, according to a report of RH Jecelle Ricafort.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) earlier said it had identified two Filipino nationals allegedly linked to the planned shipment of illegal drugs worth around P3.5 billion using private aircraft from Laos.

One of the suspects, identified by the alias “Fahad,” was reportedly linked to a drug syndicate allegedly based in Davao. Authorities are continuing their investigation into his alleged involvement.

The PDEA also identified another suspected accomplice, known as “Boyet,” who allegedly arranged the aircraft's refueling and facilitated payments through bank transfers.

However, PDEA investigators found that Boyet had already left the Philippines for Hong Kong a day before the operation, according to the agency.
