The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has officially launched its new podcast, “Truth Matters,” aimed at increasing transparency and public awareness on its activities and resolved cases, as reported by RH Jecelle Ricafort.
According to NBI Acting Director Atty. Lito Magno, the podcast will tackle a range of topics, including issues of public concern and updates on cases handled by the bureau.
Magno said the initiative is part of the agency’s transparency efforts and will also serve as an information campaign, particularly amid rising cases of cybercrime and concerns over corruption.
Members of the public can send messages or questions to the bureau via email, which may be addressed during the episodes.
The first episodes of the podcast are scheduled to air this month, every Friday evening.
“We will be doing several episodes na particularly para sa ginagawa ng bureau. Minsan, pwede tayong magsesentro lang sa topic ng NBI clearance. They can ask questions, they will be enlightened,” Magno said.
“Especially now, itong mga cybercrime cases natin we can dedicate a segment na puro ‘yon lang ang tatanungin, maimpormahan sa mga scam, ano ang gagawin ng publiko natin. Siguro, somehow, sabi ko nga we can inform, we can educate them, and we can also listen,” the bureau’s chief added.
