The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) denied the claim that it sought the Vice President Sara Duterte’s disbarment after she expressed a lack of trust in the court, according to a Friday report.
NBI-NCR Regional Director Emeterio Dongallo Jr. told DZRH that there is no truth to reports that they intended to file a disbarment case against the Vice President with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), reported RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort.
However, the bureau is currently working on the disbarment case against former lawmaker Jacinto “Jing” Paras and lawyers Atty. Ruy Rondain, Orlando Mendiola, Patrick Criaga and Josemilio Manuel Apostol in connection with the alleged sex scandal plot against Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.
The said lawyers allegedly penned the script and affidavits used by the four female artists contracted to tarnish Recto’s reputation.
