Basketball Hall of Famer Chris Bosh says he’s “lucky to be alive” after passing out at home and waking up “covered in blood.”
The 41-year-old, whose NBA career ended due to blood clots, shared the incident in an Instagram video, urging fans not to wait to act on their goals.
“It could come fast. It could come quick. And I’m lucky to be alive,” Bosh said, reflecting on a scare that has given him a “simpler and more honest” view on life.
Bosh was a key member of the Heat’s legendary “Big Three” alongside LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
At the time of his last NBA season in 2015-16, he was still averaging 19.1 points per game. He officially retired in 2019, the same year the Heat retired his No. 1 jersey. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021.
