National Geographic spotlights the Philippines in ‘Best of the World 2026’

The Philippines has been named one of National Geographic’s best places to visit in 2026, cementing its status as one of the world's top travel destinations for adventure seekers and culture lovers alike!

Described as “a palate-pleasing tour of a surprisingly diverse food scene,” the well-known magazine highlights the country’s rich culinary heritage and vibrant food culture. Metro Manila, in particular, stands out as a dynamic melting pot where Spanish, Chinese, and Malay influences come together in innovative and delicious ways.

Restaurants such as Manam, Toyo Eatery, and Kondwi were featured, showcasing the best offerings from their menus. Meanwhile, bakeries like Ho-land and Eng Bee Tin also received recognition for their specialties.

National Geographic also published a new Manila destination spotlight, offering insider tips on some of the city’s best spots for travelers to explore.

Other featured destinations on the list include the Black Sea Coast of Turkey, Akagera National Park in Rwanda, Route 66 in Oklahoma, USA, Rabat in Morocco, and more.
