YouTube educator and children’s content creator Rachel Griffin Accurso, known to millions as Ms. Rachel, has been named one of Glamour’s Women of the Year 2025.

Recognized for her groundbreaking work in early childhood education and advocacy, Ms. Rachel was honored for using her platform to promote empathy, inclusion, and children’s rights.

What began as a small YouTube channel to help her son with a speech delay has grown into a global phenomenon, with more than 17 million subscribers and over 13 billion views.

“I just want to serve God and others every day in every way I can, and speak up for children and help children who are in unimaginable situations every day to the best of my ability, every moment,” Ms. Rachel told Glamour about her aspiring legacy.

In her interview with Glamour, Ms. Rachel also spoke openly about her advocacy for children in Gaza—an issue that has sparked both praise and controversy online.

“My love and care for children doesn’t stop at my own children. It doesn’t stop at the children in our country. It embraces every child of the world,” she said.

“And I don’t think that our love should end at religion or skin color or where people are born. I see my own children when I see children suffering anywhere, and I just think, What if that was my child? Children should have human rights, and grown-ups are failing children when they don’t uphold that.”

She acknowledged that speaking out has not been easy, saying: “It’s been painful, but I always think about what people in Gaza are going through. And I also think about what kind of pain I would feel if I knew that I didn’t say anything and could have helped.”

When asked about being seen as a moral compass online, Ms. Rachel said she’s humbled by the sentiment, but believes in collective responsibility.

“There are so many brave people who spoke up before me when they had consequences like losing their jobs. There are so many people begging our leaders to act. I don’t know what that disconnect is," she said.

Glamour’s annual list celebrates women who inspire change and empower others. This year’s honorees include figures from entertainment, activism, and education, proving that impact comes not just from fame, but from heart.

Ms. Rachel continues to expand her reach through her Netflix children’s series and advocacy projects, remaining a beloved figure for parents and children worldwide.
