The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will offer free rides to National ID holders every Wednesday in August in celebration of the signing of the Philippine Identification System Act.

The free rides will be available on August 5, 12, 19, and 26, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Commuters only need to present their National ID to avail of the free rides. The MRT-3 will accept the physical National ID, Digital National ID, or ePhilID in paper format.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will conduct National ID registration at the MRT-3’s Araneta-Cubao and Taft Avenue stations until August 31, 2026.

The train line will also offer free rides on September 16 in observance of Global Identity Day.
