The Department of Transportation-Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (DOTr-MRT-3) is set to deploy 19 trains during peak hours on Monday, November 2, in anticipation of an increase in passengers returning from the Undas holidays.
According to the DOTr-MRT-3, the additional train deployment aims to accommodate the expected influx of commuters as regular work and school activities resume following the holiday observance.
The planned deployment is higher than the regular holiday operations of 14 trains during non-peak hours and 16 trains during peak hours.
The agency said the adjustment is intended to provide commuters with a more convenient and efficient travel experience amid the anticipated increase in passenger volume.
The deployment is part of MRT-3's preparations to ensure smoother passenger movement following the All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day observances.
