The Department of Transportation’s Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (DOTr-MRT-3) will offer free rides to government employees and National ID holders on separate dates this week.
Government employees can avail themselves of free rides throughout Wednesday, September 16, 2026, as part of the Civil Service Month celebration.
Passengers must present a valid company or agency identification card to qualify for the free ride.
Meanwhile, National ID holders can ride the MRT-3 for free on Thursday, September 17, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., in line with Global Identity Day.
To avail of the free rides, passengers must present any of the following:
- Physical National ID
- Digital National ID
- ePhilID in paper format
The DOTr-MRT-3 encouraged passengers to take note of the schedules and requirements for the free ride program.
