The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) recorded a new all-time high in daily ridership for the year after serving 506,904 passengers on Oct. 21, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said.

The latest figure surpassed the previous record of 503,031 passengers set on Sept. 17, marking an increase of 3,873 passengers.

The MRT-3 management said it would continue working to provide safe, orderly and efficient services amid the growing number of commuters relying on the rail line for their daily travel.

The agency also thanked passengers for their continued trust and patronage.

The MRT-3 runs along EDSA, connecting key areas of Metro Manila and serving as a major transportation option for daily commuters.
