The Manila Police District (MPD) and the City Government of Manila have intensified their anti-criminality measures following a command conference led by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso.
In a report by RH Boy Gonzales on Monday, April 13, Domagoso emphasized during the meeting, the need to strengthen peace and order in the city amid ongoing economic challenges that could potentially lead to an increase in criminal activities.
City officials noted that difficult economic conditions may be exploited by certain individuals, prompting authorities to immediately reinforce security measures across Manila.
As part of the enhanced strategy, the MPD and the city government agreed to increase police visibility in key areas, improve emergency response times, and strengthen coordination between law enforcement units and local government offices.
Authorities said the initiative aims to maintain peace and order, ensure public safety, and provide a secure environment for all Manileños.
