MANILA, Philippines - For many, beauty pageants are synonymous with crowns, gowns, and the excitement of competition.

For the 21 candidates of Miss Manila 2026, the journey has been about something much deeper: discovering the many ways they can create positive impact in the city they hope to represent.

Throughout their reign-in-the-making, the candidates have participated in a series of experiences that brought them closer to the communities, businesses, and causes that shape Manila's identity.

One of the most meaningful stops on their journey was a visit to Boys Town, where the candidates spent time with children and young people, sharing stories, laughter, and words of encouragement. The experience served as a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact.

The candidates also championed local entrepreneurship by supporting proudly Filipino brands such as Gibi Shoes, celebrating the craftsmanship, innovation, and resilience of homegrown businesses.

They likewise explored several beloved local restaurants across Manila, shining a spotlight on the city's vibrant food culture and the entrepreneurs who continue to keep it thriving.

Sustainability and environmental awareness also became a central part of their journey.

The candidates experienced a unique tour around the historic district of Intramuros aboard bamboo bicycles through Bambike Ecotours, an initiative that promotes eco-friendly tourism while showcasing Filipino innovation and craftsmanship.

The activity encouraged the candidates to see how sustainability can be seamlessly integrated into everyday experiences while appreciating one of Manila's most iconic destinations.

Their environmental journey continued with a visit to Manila's City Materials Recovery Facility, where they gained a deeper understanding of waste management, recycling, and responsible consumption.

The delegates also participated in a coconut shell upcycling workshop, transforming discarded materials into handmade crafts and eco-friendly creations—proving that sustainability can be both purposeful and creative.

Rather than simply advocating from a stage, the candidates immersed themselves in real-world experiences that allowed them to learn, engage, and contribute.

What makes this journey even more meaningful is that every single Miss Manila 2026 candidate took part. They learned together, served together, and discovered together the many stories that make Manila a city worth celebrating.
