President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. assured that the Philippine government is continuously taking measures to protect Filipinos amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
In a video statement on Sunday, Marcos reported that as of 9:00 a.m., there were no reported casualties among Filipinos in the region. He emphasized that monitoring efforts remain ongoing.
Wala pong Pilipino ang namatay, walang Pilipino ang nasaktan," the President said.
On Saturday, Marcos directed concerned government agencies to ensure the safety of Filipinos in the Middle East following airstrikes by Israel and the United States on Iran.
