Traffic remains generally manageable across major roads in Metro Manila following Christmas, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said based on its monitoring on Sunday, December 28.
In an interview on DZRH Stories: Pinoy Documentaries, Traffic Officer Roger Mutuc reported moderate to slow-moving traffic along the southbound lane of EDSA from Estrella to the Ayala Tunnel, extending toward the Magallanes Flyover up to the Taft Avenue intersection.
Traffic conditions improve beyond this stretch, with smoother flow observed heading toward Diokno Boulevard.
On the northbound side, slow traffic was noted from F.B. Harrison to Taft Avenue, while lighter traffic was experienced toward Monumento. Meanwhile, traffic conditions along C-5 and Commonwealth Avenue remained light as of 9 a.m.
Mutuc advised motorists to drive carefully and reminded the public that the MMDA hotline 136 is available for emergencies.
He added that traffic volume has eased compared to pre-holiday conditions, with no major incidents reported during the Christmas period.
