The Southern Police District (SPD) seized three suspects, including a member of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and recovered ₱1.36 million worth of what is believed to be “shabu” or crystal meth in Taguig on November 1.
The SPD identified alias “Ice,” as an active member of the MNLF, while his two cohorts are “Bing,” 66, and alias “Justine,” a senior high school student, according to a report by RH 27 Noche Cacas.
Ice, an allegedly “big-time” drug dealer, was the target of the SPD’s buy-bust operation, conducted in Barangay New Lower Bicutan.
Approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu was confiscated from Ice, and 50 grams each from Justine and Bing, bringing the total amount to 200 grams, which is equivalent to ₱1,360,000.
Evidence like the buy-bust money, a white envelope, and an Android phone were also collected and marked at the scene. The suspects are currently under the custody of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) for documentation and filing of charges related to the violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“This operation reflects our relentless campaign against illegal drugs and organized criminal networks. Every arrest and every gram of shabu confiscated means safer streets for our communities,” Southern Police District Acting Director PBGen. Randy Y. Arceo said.
