The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that the expanded number coding scheme will be suspended on April 9, 2026, in observance of the regular holiday for Araw ng Kagitingan.

The suspension applies automatically on all regular and special non-working holidays. Drivers are advised to plan their trips carefully to avoid potential disruptions and to exercise caution on the road, the MMDA said.

The number coding scheme, which restricts vehicles on certain days based on their plate numbers, will resume on the next working day following the holiday.
