The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has reminded motorists of the continued implementation of the Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP), or number coding scheme, across Metro Manila.
Under the program, vehicles are barred from traveling on major roads from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, except on holidays.
Restrictions are based on the last digit of vehicle license plates: 1–2 on Monday, 3–4 on Tuesday, 5–6 on Wednesday, 7–8 on Thursday, and 9–0 on Friday.
Motorists may still travel during designated window hours from 10:01 a.m. to 4:59 p.m. and 8:01 p.m. to 6:59 a.m. the following day.
Exempted from the coding scheme are public utility vehicles, transport network vehicle services (TNVS), motorcycles, garbage trucks, marked government vehicles, petroleum delivery trucks, marked media vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, and vehicles carrying perishable or essential goods.
