MMDA General Manager Nicholas Torre III, along with representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Transportation (DOTr), and other government agencies, conducted a personal inspection of the ongoing EDSA Rehabilitation Project on Monday, January 5.
The joint inspection covered EDSA from Orense to Roxas Boulevard, both northbound and southbound lanes. Officials confirmed that rehabilitation works will continue on other lanes but will be scheduled at night until 5:00 a.m., ensuring that the road remains passable during peak hours.
No roadworks will be carried out from 4:00 a.m. until affected lanes reopen, minimizing disruption to commuters.
The inspection team included MMDA Assistant GM for Operations David Angelo Vargas, Traffic Discipline Office Director Atty. Vic Nuñez and officials from DPWH, the DOTr Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT), and the Land Transportation Office (LTO), are all coordinating to ensure safe and orderly traffic flow during the rehabilitation period.
