Two-time world champion Edward “Edward” Dapadap announced his retirement from professional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, bringing the curtain down on a decorated career that saw him establish himself as one of the game’s most accomplished exp laners.
Aurora Gaming announced Edward’s retirement Tuesday, thanking the veteran for a career marked by consistency and historic achievements.
“A career built on consistency. A name etched into history. Thank you, Edward,” Aurora Gaming said.
Edward, 21, also expressed his gratitude to the fans who supported him throughout his career.
“Thank you for being part of the best years of my life. Maybe this is the last time you’ll see me wearing a pro jersey, but for all the support you’ve shown, I will carry it with me forever,” Edward said.
Edward began his professional career at just 15 years old with Blacklist International. He quickly became a key figure in the organization’s dominant run, helping the squad win three MPL Philippines championships in Seasons 7, 8 and 10.
His biggest breakthrough came at the international level when Blacklist International captured the M3 World Championship in 2021, giving Edward his first world title.
Edward later joined Aurora Gaming in 2024 and added another historic achievement to his résumé by helping the team win the M7 World Championship.
The victory made Edward only the fourth player to win two MLBB world championships, joining fellow Filipino stars Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Angelo “Phewww” Arcangel and David “FlapTzy” Canon.
Beyond his championships, Edward’s longevity and impact were recognized when he was inducted into the MPL Hall of Legends in May 2023.
After years of competing at the highest level, Edward closed his professional career with a simple message of gratitude.
“Forever grateful,” he said.
