Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, Dr. Gabrielle "Gabby" Henry, is returning home “in the coming days” to continue her treatment and recovery, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) said in a statement.

In clips posted from the pageant, the queen can be seen performing her walk during the evening gown portion of the preliminary competition before falling off the stage on November 19 in Thailand.

The candidate suffered serious injuries, including an intracranial hemorrhage with loss of consciousness, a fracture, and facial lacerations, following the fall.

According to a statement from the MUO, the queen is expected to return to her home country in the coming days, accompanied by a full medical escort team, to continue her treatment and recovery in Jamaica.

"The Miss Universe Organization is funding the medically escorted repatriation flight arranged by the hospital and will cover all future medical expenses arising from the incident," MOU said in a statement.

The pageant organization has also taken responsibility for all hospital, medical, and rehabilitation expenses in Thailand, as well as the accommodation and living costs of Dr. Henry’s mother and sister, who have been her pillars of support during this difficult time.

“The Henry family is deeply grateful to the Miss Universe Organization for their unwavering compassion, presence, and love. Their response has gone beyond professional responsibility, reflecting true devotion and protection of our family,” it added.

Last November, Dr. Henry-Samuels, through a statement by the MOU, said that Henry is "not doing as well as we would have hoped,” but assured that the hospital in Thailand continues to treat the latter accordingly.
