In a detailed statement, Yacé said her decision was driven by her commitment to uphold the personal values that have guided her journey—respect, dignity, excellence, and equal opportunity.

Yacé, who represented Côte d’Ivoire at the global pageant, said the experience showed her that she was capable of excelling amid challenges but emphasized the importance of staying grounded in her principles.

“With a heart full of gratitude and profound respect, I hereby announce my resignation from the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, as well as from any future affiliation with the Miss Universe Committee,” she said.

In her message, she congratulated the newly crowned Miss Universe 2025, Mexico’s Fatima Bosch and extended well-wishes to Miss Universe Jamaica, expressing hope for her speedy recovery.

Yacé concluded her resignation statement by thanking supporters and reaffirming her resolve to continue uplifting and inspiring others beyond the pageant stage.

“It’s time for Africa,” she wrote, signing off with love and respect.
