According to DZRH reporter Jecelle Ricafort, nearly 30 devotees received first aid at San Sebastian Basilica amid dense crowds during Traslacion 2026. Capital District Emergency Services, led by Luis Rafael Loyola, reported that all cases were minor, including minor trauma and injuries from stepping on barbecue sticks or being bumped in the crowd. No patient required hospital transfer.

Loyola noted that this year’s rescue team is reduced to seven members from 11 last year, but they were able to accommodate all those needing medical attention. He added that the number of minor cases may have doubled or tripled compared to previous years due to larger crowds.

As of 5:49 p.m., devotees continued to fill San Sebastian Basilica and Hidalgo Street while awaiting the passage of the andas of Jesus Nazareno for the traditional Dungaw.

The Traslacion has now been ongoing for 15 hours, exceeding NCRPO’s target of completing the procession in 10 to 12 hours, compared with 20 hours last year.
