

A 32-year-old miner is facing multiple charges after allegedly throwing an improvised explosive device (IED) onto the roof of a gambling establishment in Baguio City, injuring 14 people early Monday morning, police said.
According to the Camdas Police Station of the Baguio City Police Office, the suspect will be charged with multiple frustrated murder, damage to property, and acts of lasciviousness.
Police said the incident occurred around 3:10 a.m. on Monday, April 13, along Magsaysay Avenue when the suspect allegedly threw the explosive device onto the roof of a gambling den, causing injuries to several people inside.
Authorities said 14 individuals were hurt in the blast. Four victims who were brought to Fine City Doctors Hospital have already been discharged, while nine of the 10 remaining injured persons confined at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center remain under medical care.
Police confirmed that the suspect is now in custody of the Camdas Police Station and is undergoing further investigation.
Investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the attack.
