The middleman in the murder of a 63-year-old employee under the House of Representatives has been arrested, announced the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Friday.

At around 1 a.m. on Thursday, the suspect, identified only as “Ignicris,” 28, a resident of Camarin, Caloocan City, was served his warrant of arrest along Bagong Buhay Avenue, Barangay Bagong Buhay 2, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan by the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) of the QCPD, alongside personnel from the San Jose Del Monte City Police Station.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the CIDU for documentation and proper disposition.

“The successful service of the warrant against the middleman is a significant step toward justice for the victim and his family. QCPD remains steadfast in its pursuit of all those responsible,” QCPD District Director Randy Glenn Silvio said in a statement.

The victim’s family expressed their gratitude and promised to grant a reward for the suspect’s arrest.

On June 15, 2025, Mauricio Pulhin, House Committee on Ways and Means technical staff chief, was celebrating his seven-year-old daughter’s birthday at the clubhouse of Don Jose Heights Subdivision in Barangay Commonwealth when he was shot dead.
