A jersey worn by NBA legend Michael Jordan during the 1998 NBA Finals has sold for more than 800 million pesos ($14 million), setting a record for the most expensive piece of basketball memorabilia ever sold.
The jersey is particularly valuable because of its connection to Jordan’s final championship run with the Chicago Bulls, when he led the team to its sixth NBA title in eight years.
Jordan, widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, capped the Bulls’ dynasty by winning the 1998 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz.
