The Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MMDRRMC) has raised the alert status across the National Capital Region (NCR) in preparation for the Traslacion of Jesus Nazareno on January 9.
Under Memorandum No. 75, series of 2025, signed by MMDRRMC Chair Atty. Romando Artes, the council ordered heightened readiness to ensure coordinated preparations and the safe conduct of the religious event. The move activates interagency coordination among national government offices and local government units.
Response clusters have also been activated, with the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) leading the law and order cluster, while logistics will be handled by the Office of Civil Defense–NCR and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)–NCR will oversee management of possible casualties and missing persons.
Although the Traslacion will take place in the City of Manila, other LGUs across Metro Manila have been urged to remain on alert for any untoward incidents during the festivities.
