From the Miss World stage in Vietnam to the upcoming Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico, Filipina queens are carrying more than national sashes—they are bringing stories of resilience, purpose, intelligence, culture, and ambition. And after Katrina Llegado’s historic Miss Supranational victory, expectations for the Philippines’ remaining international contenders are understandably high.
This year’s Team Philippines is not simply chasing crowns. Each queen represents a different definition of what it means to be a modern Filipina.
Bea Millan-Windorski — Miss Universe Philippines 2026
Leading the charge at the world’s most watched pageant is Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union, who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026 after defeating 49 other candidates.
The Filipino-American queen, who was born and raised in Wisconsin, brings an impressive academic and pageant background to the competition. She earned degrees in History and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and previously represented the United States at Miss Earth 2024, where she won the Miss Earth Water title.
Her victory at Miss Universe Philippines was particularly meaningful because of her powerful response to the question of why the Philippines remains worth representing despite the frustrations many Filipinos feel about the country.
Bea spoke about her lifelong connection to the Philippines and her desire to help create opportunities locally so Filipinos would not have to leave their families simply to build better lives.
Now, she will attempt to end the Philippines' Miss Universe title drought. The country’s most recent victory came through Catriona Gray in 2018, while last year’s representative, Ahtisa Manalo, finished as third runner-up.
The 75th Miss Universe competition is scheduled for November 24 in Puerto Rico, or November 25 in the Philippines.
For Bea, the challenge is not merely to follow the footsteps of the country’s previous Miss Universe queens—it is to establish her own identity on the international stage.
Asia Rose Simpson — Miss World Philippines 2026
Before Bea takes the Miss Universe stage, all eyes are on Asia Rose Simpson, the Philippines’ representative at Miss World 2026.
The Quezon City beauty has already given Filipino pageant fans plenty of reasons to be optimistic.
Asia secured a place in the Miss World Top 40 after winning the Asia & Oceania division of the Head-to-Head Challenge. Her victory gave her an automatic spot in the semifinals and demonstrated that her strength extends beyond beauty and stage presence.
She has also emerged as one of the competition’s standout performers. Asia placed in the Top 3 of the Talent Challenge with her original dance piece, “Succor,” which explores themes of hope and healing.
Her Beauty with a Purpose advocacy has likewise been recognized, with her project earning a spot among the Top 6 finalists in the Asia & Oceania region. Her advocacy highlights how sports and dance can encourage self-expression, connection, and emotional resilience among young people.
She also showcased Filipino culture through a Pandanggo sa Ilaw performance for Miss World’s Dances of the World presentation.
The Miss World 2026 coronation is set for September 5 in Nha Trang, Vietnam, where Asia will attempt to become the Philippines’ second Miss World titleholder after Megan Young’s historic victory in 2013.
Her campaign has already demonstrated something crucial: Asia is not waiting for the final night to make an impression. She has been building her case challenge after challenge.
Katrina Llegado — Miss Supranational 2026
The Philippines has already secured one major international crown this season—and it came in spectacular fashion.
Katrina Llegado became only the second Filipina to win Miss Supranational after ending a 13-year drought since Mutya Datul’s victory in 2013. She defeated 66 other candidates at the competition in Nowy Sącz, Poland.
Her victory was especially significant because Katrina’s journey was built on persistence.
She previously competed at Miss World Philippines, Reina Hispanoamericana and Miss Universe Philippines, where she finished as second runner-up in 2022 and later reached the Top 6 in 2025.
At Miss Supranational, however, she finally found her breakthrough.
Her final answer centered on embracing imperfection and refusing to conform to expectations, perfectly reflecting the journey that ultimately brought her to the crown.
Katrina’s victory has already raised the bar for the rest of Team Philippines. More importantly, it serves as a reminder that international pageantry is not always about winning on the first attempt—sometimes, the strongest queens are those who keep returning until their moment arrives.
Katrina Anne Johnson — Miss International Philippines 2026
Another Katrina is preparing for her own international mission.
Katrina Anne Johnson, Binibining Pilipinas International 2025, will represent the Philippines at Miss International 2026 in Tokyo, Japan, on November 25.
The Filipino-American beauty from Davao has already demonstrated resilience in pageantry. She previously finished as first runner-up at Binibining Pilipinas 2023 before returning two years later and capturing the International title.
Now, she will attempt to deliver the Philippines its seventh Miss International crown.
The country’s most recent victory came through Kylie Verzosa in 2016, who became the sixth Filipina to win the prestigious Japanese-based competition.
Katrina therefore enters the competition with a clear piece of history in front of her: become the Filipina who finally brings the seventh crown home.
Angelica Lopez — Miss Grand International Philippines 2026
The Philippines’ bid for another back-to-back international triumph will also be carried by Angelica Lopez of Palawan.
Angelica was crowned Reina Filipinas Grand International 2026 after defeating 20 other candidates and will represent the country at Miss Grand International.
Her international assignment became even more intriguing following a major development this week.
Miss Grand International announced on September 3 that it would relocate the 2026 competition from India to Thailand, citing the failure to meet agreed contractual and production standards. The competition is now scheduled to run from September 18 to October 10 in Thailand, with the coronation night on October 10.
Angelica will attempt to make history by giving the Philippines a third consecutive Miss Grand International victory, following CJ Opiaza’s 2024 triumph and Emma Tiglao’s 2025 victory.
Her challenge is enormous, but so is the opportunity. A third straight MGI crown would further cement the Philippines’ dominance in the pageant.
Rina Andrea Delos Santos — Miss Earth Philippines 2026
Completing the major international lineup is Rina Andrea Delos Santos of Ballesteros, Cagayan, who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026.
Rina has been described as an advocate of sustainable tourism, carrying an environmental platform that fits directly into the mission of the Miss Earth organization.
She will attempt to secure the Philippines’ fifth Miss Earth crown, following the country’s four victories, the most recent coming from Karen Ibasco in 2017.
Her predecessor, Joy Barcoma, continued the Philippines’ strong Miss Earth tradition in 2025 by reaching the Top 8 and finishing as a runner-up.
Rina now carries the responsibility of taking that momentum one step further—not simply by advancing deep into the competition, but by bringing the environmental crown back to the Philippines.
A Season of Possibility for the Philippines
What makes Team Philippines 2026 particularly exciting is the diversity of its campaigns.
Bea represents the Philippines’ global aspirations through Miss Universe. Asia combines performance, advocacy, culture and purpose at Miss World. Katrina Llegado has already delivered a historic victory at Miss Supranational. Katrina Johnson is chasing the country’s seventh Miss International crown.
