The windshield and roof of a media outfit’s crew cab were destroyed after being caught in a dense crowd of devotees at Arlegui Street during the Traslacion, approaching 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
The “andas” or carriage bearing the image of Jesus Nazarene collided with the parked vehicle and was trampled by devotees who had climbed onto it, reported RH 5 Val Gonzales.
The vehicle sustained damage to one side, where the andas had hit it, its roof was sunken, and its windshield was webbed with cracks.
A second media crew cab was also hit by the andas. This one was left with a broken taillight.
Nearby, a tarpaulin on a building front and its downspout were also destroyed.
The andas entered Arlegui Street from Quezon Boulevard around 3:21 p.m.
