MBC Media Group (MMG) and Aboitiz Power Corp. have formed a partnership geared towards improving public service nationwide through broadcast and direct local engagement.

The collaboration will launch a series of comprehensive educational radio broadcasts as well as targeted on-ground community service initiatives beginning in November this year.

MMG will air a 30-minute sponsored program showcasing AboitizPower’s major initiatives in the fields of science and education, with an emphasis on advocacies and stories of triumph and community empowerment. It will be aired every Saturday and Sunday, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In addition, the collaboration aims to bring on-ground activations designed to provide material support for local communities like those in Dagupan, Naga, Cebu, and Davao, to ensure aid reaches them in time for the holiday season.

AboitizPower will also be lending a hand to MMG’s long-running program, "Operation Tulong," in carrying out a relief mission, affirming both organizations’ promises to deliver meaningful and timely help, especially amid dire need.

In response to the recent calamities, MMG and AboitizPower have sent water filter buckets to affected communities to address the critical need for a clean, potable water supply.

MMG President Ruperto “Jun” Nicdao Jr. and AVP for Legal Atty. Marina “Rhina” Seco represented MMG, while AboitizPower Vice President for Corporate Affairs Suiee Suarez and Senior Media Relations and Advocacy Manager Cid Santillan appeared on behalf of AboitizPower during the contract signing.

Under MMG are radio stations Love Radio, Yes! FM, Easy Rock, DZRH, and Aksyon Radyo, as well as its corporate social responsibility arm, Operation Tulong. AboitizPower, on the other hand, is a Philippine power company that assures sustainability and affordability through a blend of renewable and non-renewable energy sources.
