Executives from MBC Media Group (MMG) took on key leadership roles in the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) following their oath-taking led by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. at the Malacañan Palace on Wednesday, March 18. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the network as its leaders assumed positions in the country’s primary broadcast organization.

Among those inducted were MMG President Ruperto "Jun" Nicdao Jr. as KBP President and DZRH Usapang Legal anchor Atty. Cherryl Adami-Molina as KBP Standards Authority Deputy Chairperson. Their appointments highlight the company’s continued influence in shaping policies and standards within the Philippine broadcast industry.

During the ceremony at Heroes Hall, President Marcos emphasized KBP’s critical role in promoting ethical broadcasting and self-regulation, especially as media platforms evolve in the digital age.

He underscored the need for accuracy, responsibility, and public trust, noting that organizations like KBP help ensure accountability among broadcasters without excessive government control.

The induction of MMG executives into KBP leadership signals a strengthened commitment to uphold professional standards in radio and television.

As the media landscape rapidly changes, the newly sworn officers are expected to help guide the industry in addressing challenges such as misinformation while maintaining credible and responsible journalism.
